About Puggle PuppiesPuggles are a mixed breed that have purebred Pug and Beagle parents, hence the name. Puggles may also have two Puggle Parents, but these usually sell for less because there is no great way to certify that both parents of the Puggle Puppy were bread from a Beagle and Pug.
Puggles typically grow to between 15 to 25 pounds a full grown adults, and can come in a large number of colors and patterns. They usually have a mixture of traits between the two parents including a wrinkled up brow, scrunched snout with black nose, and large floppy ears. Puggles are becoming very popular in the United States and Great Britain.
Buying Puggle Puppies from breedersAs with most mixed breeds, Puggles come with a variety of typical health ailments that need to be watched out for. When you buy your Puggle Puppy from a reputable breeder, you’ll want to find out a few specifics about the puppy and it’s parents before you lay down some cash.
You’ll want to have your vet and the breeder check the puppy for common ailments such as epilepsy, cherry eye, and reverse sneezing (your vet may call it “inspirational paroxysmal respiration”) that is often inherited from it’s Pug parent.
Raising a Healthy Puggle PuppyBEFORE, you bring your cute little Puggle Puppy home from the breeder, you’ll want to schedule a veterinarian appointment and have a few amenities ready such as it’s dog crate (for sleeping at night), leash, water and food bowl, toys, clicker or other training implements.
It’s important to watch your puppy closely the first few days to a month while and after it eats for any type of adverse reaction to it’s food. Some Puggles have moderate to severe food allergies, so it’s good to keep a watchful eye on them after eating new foods.
